PULLED DOUGH POTATO PIE

In Slovenia we have a saying for happy people: "You really have a potato", but having potato in life is no longer enough! It is necessary to know how to prepare and serve it. Find out for yourself how to prepare a slightly modified potato pie from Prezid (Croatia).

Ingredients for pulled dough

  • 250 g flour
  • salt
  • 25 g oil
  • 1 - 1.5 dl sour cream
  • 80 g butter/sunflower oil

  • 2 dl sour cream
  • 80 g butter/sunflower oil
  • sugar

In Slovenia we have a saying for happy people: "You really have a potato", but having potato in life is no longer enough! It is necessary to know how to prepare and serve it. Find out for yourself how to prepare a slightly modified potato pie from Prezid (Croatia).

For pulled dough sift flour, add oil, some salt and some lukewarm water. Knead soft and flexible dough. Add water gradually so that the dough is not too wet.

Wrap kneaded dough in foil and let it rest for 30 minutes in a cold place.

Wash and peel the potatoes. Grate with scraper on large slices.

Roll the dough, and pull it the same as if for strudel. Coat it with grease and sour cream. Put grated raw potatoes on the coating. Sweeten it a little. Using a napkin, roll a bundle and bake it in preheated oven on 180℃ for 30 minutes. When roasted, grease it over and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
